Are you a Certified Home Inspector and a member of an Inspector's Association?     Yes, Peter is Certified as a Home Inspector by the State of Oregon #366,  and a member of the American Institute of Inspectors, see Credentials page for details.

How long have you been a Home Inspector?     Peter has been a Certified Inspector since 1999.  For twelve years prior to becoming a Home Inspector, Peter worked in the residential and commercial construction trades. 

Are you a Full - Time Home Inspector?     Yes, and in addition to performing over 1,000 Inspections since 1999, Peter is a State of Oregon approved home inspection education provider with Professional Inspection Education; see: www.proinspectioned.com.

May I be present for the Inspection?      Yes, we welcome you to be on site for the Inspection.  Peter's goal is to provide you with an accurate Inspection and Report and he'll be busy crawling in and out of the attic and foundation area, up on the roof etc. and at the end of the Inspection, Peter will give you his undivided attention to share his findings and answer your questions.    

How long will the Inspection take?     Single family dwellings up to 2,500 square feet, depending upon the age of the home, typically take two to three hours to inspect.  Homes larger than this may take up to five hours depending on the level of maintenance the home has enjoyed over the years.  By allowing a generous amount of time per Inspection, Peter is able to complete a thorough and accurate Report for you.  See Sample Report & Photos pages for examples of Peter's narrative reporting style. 

Do you carry Errors and Omissions Insurance?     Yes, Peter is insured with Errors and Omissions coverage in addition to his license and bonding.

Do you do repairs?     No.  Peter is committed to an unbiased, accurate report created for you, the client.  There are many excellent, qualified, licensed contractors on the Oregon Coast specializing in everything from roofing to heating.   We can provide recommendations for you.
